When I decided to go back to school as an adult, I thought the biggest reward would be earning a degree. While that degree opened doors, some of the most meaningful things I gained had nothing to do with a diploma. From confidence and resilience to meaningful connections and personal growth, these are the lessons I'll carry with me long after graduation.

Online learning creates important opportunities for adult learners, but it can also feel incredibly isolating. Looking back, I did not realize how much community and connection mattered until I experienced online classes myself.
